Development of the project of the Fonds de soutien à l’édition savante en libre accès (FS-ESLA)

In keeping with its mission and values, Quebec’s university libraries are taking various measures to support open access publishing of search results. Since last November, a pilot project supporting open access scholarly publishing was launched as a first coordinated action throughout the network to develop a program that would eventually be more ambitious. The pilot project has two main goals:

1) Fund the open access publishing of 6 to 10 Quebec university papers;

2) Measure the impact of open access publishing of academic papers in the Quebec university publishing market.

Many projects have already been submitted to the FS-ELSA working group.
