Quebec University Libraries Award
The Quebec University Library Award was created in 2019 to recognize the exceptional contribution of the staff members from Quebec academic libraries.
Bibliothèque de l’ÉTS received the award in 2020 for the team’s leadership and enthusiasm throughout the library’s expansion and redesign project in 2017–2018. The members of the jury celebrated the staff’s teamwork, dedication and innovation, thanks to which this project was delivered in record time to provide a more modern and functional environment for library users. The project also received the Grand Prix du design (13th edition) for the “Institutional Award” category.
Special Recognition Award
BUQ Directors also presented a Special Recognition Award to François Charbonnier, Product Manager, Shared Services Platform (SSP). The chairs of the working groups who implemented the SSP recognized his tremendous work in several areas: coordinating and drafting the call for tenders, supervising data conversion, supporting working groups, carefully monitoring software functionalities, communicating technical issues with the supplier, and supervising developments.
Therefore, the directors of the Québec University Libraries bestowed this award upon Mr. Charbonnier in order to show the university libraries’ gratitude for his unwavering support, commitment, and the overall quality of his work.
